GENEALOGY DAYS

Once a year all of the Swedish genealogists get together.
In 2008 it will be in Malmö -
in Europaporten, Stadionmässan, 30-31 August 2008.

Try for your self. In our special
IT-corner experienced genealogists will help you finding your ancestors.
They assist you to find the right CD, database or even the right parish record (on the internet).

LECTURES

Two parallel sessions
- on genealogy
- on historical events
- companies/societies presentations
- Treaty of Roskilde in 1658

EXHIBITION

Societies, associations and businesses will present their activities. You will find useful books, computer programs, databases and cds on genealogy for sale.

THE TREATY OF ROSKILDE

2008 it is exactly 350 years since the Treaty of Roskilde, when Scania, Blekinge and Halland became Swedish. This will be commemorated in a screen exhibition, on a special cd and in several historical lectures.

THEME EXHIBITION

The historical events surrounding the Treaty of Roskilde in 1658 will be presented - How it effected the people in Southern Sweden and in Denmark.

SPEAKERS CORNER

In the fair hall the stage can be booked for mini lectures and presentations. Here exhibitors will be able to present their activities.

MALMØ CITY

Visit the city - with its historical center and old houses in the old town, parks and museums, as well as the modern exciting parts in the harbor area along Öresund.

CONFERENCE DINNER
AT MALMÖ CITY HALL

Friday August 29. The dinner will take place in Knutsalen at Malmö City Hall where, in 1658, the citizens of Malmö swore allegiance to their new king (who wasn’t present).

ASSEMBLY DINNER

Saturday August 30. Enjoy the dinner in this fantastic environment overlooking the harbour. There are seats for 500 peoples.
